Royal Mortier, president of Pliris Plans and Pleris Forensics, shares his journey from growing up in Oregon to serving in the military and pursuing a career in construction and engineering. He was hired and moved back to Reno, where he worked on bridge projects and other construction projects. Eventually, he joined his father's engineering firm, which was struggling at the time. With his leadership, the company grew and made multiple acquisitions. However, due to a lack of systems and processes, the company faced challenges and Royal was terminated. He then started his own company, Pliris, which focuses on residential builders. Royal Mortier shares his experience of resilience and quick decision-making when faced with unexpected challenges. He discusses the importance of having a strong mindset and the ability to adapt to new opportunities. Mortier also explains the structure and success of his company, Pliris, which focuses on house plan management for builders. He emphasizes the importance of implementing systems and processes, as well as building a strong team. Additionally, Mortier shares his wellness practices, including maintaining a clean diet and prioritizing gut health.
